Spring Is That You? w/ @aldotg

This week I decided to finally transition my wardrobe from Winter to Spring. With the sun gleaming, and the weather getting a bit more warmer, I felt as though it was definitely time. My transition pretty much included; gathering old sweaters & coats, purchasing new pairs of jeans, and purchasing new shirts. I am avid supporter of the Goodwill, so all of those winter pieces were donated to them with no hesitation.

If You Give a Girl a Men’s Shirt…

By Goodwill NYNJ, goodwillnynj.org

Goodwill is no stranger to Do-It-Yourself fashion. We ❤️  a good DIY. Our stores are a treasure trove of goodies for those who like to get their hands messy with threads, scissors and glue.

This past month, students from Parsons School of Design reconstructed an array of men’s shirts into high fashion women’s attire. For their thesis project, the students from Parsons focused on the “anonymous women” behind the seams and design of men’s wear clothing, Below you will find photos taken in the warehouse at Goodwill NYNJ headquarters.

Everyday Pieces w/ @StylingStingy

By Al Green, stylingstingy.com

For my online brand Styling Stingy, I decided to go on a mini shopping spree for my spring inventory, just to see what I could find. The Goodwill within the city of Lumberton was a major hit. I found everything from straw hats, to silk robes, denim shorts, denim vests, and even body suits.

Silk Transition w/@StylingStingy

By Al Green, stylingstingy.com

In my last post, I presented you guys with a lovely satin piece that I found at my local Goodwill. This go around, I found a silk two piece that I’m completely in love with! I feel as though two pieces are my go-to look, mainly because you have a complete outfit in a matter of seconds! You have a top and you also have a bottom, so there’s no need to look for anything else.
