Stingy Accessories for Prom

By Al Green, stylingstingy.com

With attire out of the way, the next focus for prom should be, accessories!

Accessories are usually looked at as the icing on the cake for prom attendees. Many years ago, it simply included a necklace and a color coordinated corsage. But now, it includes everything from chokers, to shades & even layers of pearls.

The more accessories honestly, the better.

But, accessories have also always been labeled as expensive. The more clarity of the diamond or the shinier the gold, the better your look would be received. Times have definitely changed since then, and thrifting is completely in for our generation. So, recently I decided to visit my favorite thrift store, The Good Will, in search for an array of accessories. Mainly accessories that would have that striking appeal, while also being very low priced.

While shopping, I found sunglasses, pearls, ties, and chokers of all sorts. They all stood out to me, and didn’t cost anything over $8. The pink and white pearls had an amazing glisten to it. Which I felt would stand out on any and every prom attendee. The red-framed shades, and the pink retro shades, definitely mad a statement as well. They immediately made me think, why wouldn’t any guy or girl want this to complete their “look”. The black spiked and gold choker, along with the ties, showed me that they would definitely look amazing around someone’s neck.

After visiting The Good Will, I snapped a few pictures of the accessories I found. Mainly to show you guys how these accessories can compliment your look and not overpower you. Hopefully, after reading this, prom attendees will realize that even a simple earring can be found at your local thrift store.
