After Holiday Wear

Holidays….. is it just me or do you hear Madonna singing in your head? The holidays are here and they’re coming in hot.

Well if you’re in NYC like me, it’s coming in super cold. Yes, I’m excited to spend time with my family and friends. I also can’t wait to stuff my face with all that delicious grub. With that being said, lets discuss loungewear. YES. Lounge. Wear. We’re all so busy discussing the fancy dresses and shoes that we forgot about what we will wear after it’s all over or while we travel to our fab destinations.

I love getting dressed up but I also love dressing down. Lucky for us the Athleisure trend is in. For those of us who don’t know the term “Athleisure”- it’s a trend where you can wear workout clothes basically where ever you want. Celebs have joined this movement awhile back and it’s been all over the streets. What’s better than wearing workout clothes you ask? Wearing workout clothes and NOT having to workout! Ha! So when you think “loungewear” think trendy sweats that you can put on to grab your holiday latte or wear to the airport for your holiday trip.

Sweatshirts are so fun. You can express yourself with a cute phrase or rep your favorite school and still be comfy. It may be hard to see right at this moment, but sweatshirts can be versatile. You can lounge out and relax in them or style them with your favorite pair of denim. This is also a super easy thrift find. People donate old sweatshirts all the time. One time while thrifting, I came across a old school New Kids on the Block graphic sweatshirt. Needless to say i’m currently kicking myself for not picking that one up.

Can you believe that there was a time in my life where I didn’t “believe” in sweatpants? I know, crazy right? BUT now, I believe strongly. Sweats are a must for so many things in my life and they’re surely a must after a big holiday dinner. Just as the classic sweatshirt, they can be styled to your liking.

After you’re done with your holiday binge eating, you can always count on your trusty loungewear to get you through the rest of the year. AND if you’re going to the gym, you’re already ready!
