It’s become quite trendy to write letters to your younger self that reassure young, insecure you that it gets better in the future.
You know what’s rad? Prints! From leopard to stripes to floral to paisley. Prints, though repetitive in nature, can be very bold. With bold visual power comes the feeling to default to pairing a print with a basic. But I say, if you’re going to run, you might as well run for gold! Go all out with your prints. Mix and match to your heart’s content.
If you had to go into hiding for a while and could only bring five things with you, what would you bring? Assuming that my very basic necessities (food, water etc) were taken care of, there are a few things that I wouldn’t want to live without:
Last week, I unexpectedly fell in love with making tassels. They’re so easy to make – all you need is yarn, a thick, rectangular piece of something to wrap the yarn around, an embroidery needle and scissors. They look so charming on so many things: pillows, keychains and, in my case, apartment walls.
Just because it’s August doesn’t mean Summer is over just yet! I’ve still got the urge to sport my summer brights and nothing will stop me. Not the back-to-school ads or the presence of Fall leaves as decor in the shops. There is one Fall color that I am happy make nice with– yellow.
