Bangles are never out of style. Colors and styles may change over the years, but stacking a bunch of bright, glittering bracelets on your arm will always be an easy way to add an aura of effortless glam to your look.
This week’s find – a mass of candy-colored bracelets that look genuinely good enough to eat – is the perfect collection of bangles to use if you’re looking to really pile them on. In a wild array of bold colors, metallics, and materials, this bunch of bracelets is an adorable example of how you can mix and match an array of accessories at once. Not everything has to look perfect all the time, and not every piece has to exactly match the one next to it to create a stylish and pulled together look.
These eye-poppingly bright bangles work so well together because, though there are a lot of different colors in this mix, there are some hues that pop up in several different bracelets, and all the colors here are of a similar level of intensity. Sticking with all brights, or all pastels, or all neons, or all neutrals when selecting a large stack of bracelets to wear together will ensure you end up with something that looks funky, but not totally crazy and off-the-wall. There is a carefree charm in an eclectic collection of jewelry like this one, and luckily, it’s also incredibly easy to replicate.
Creating an ensemble to go along with such attention-grabbing accessories might seem like a large task. Thankfully, it’s not nearly as hard as it might seem. As we’ve discussed time and again here, if you really want to let your accessories take center stage, a simple outfit is the best backdrop. That’s why I’ve selected some pretty basic wardrobe items for the example here – a pair of dark fitted denim pants and a loose pink top. The blouse has a little lace detail to keep things interesting, but the cut is simple and classic, and the pink color is pale when compared to the super bright bracelets, and won’t fight against them.
You could certainly branch out from this look – if you’re attempting to pair a print or a brighter color with your own stack of bracelets, choose wardrobe items that are either neutral – black, white, gray, etc – or include a color from one of the accessories. For example, with these bangles, I could also choose a striped or polka-dotted top that contains a similar green, yellow, or purple shade to those found in the bracelets themselves – that way some elements match and give you that polished feel, but the overall effect is still a little funky and unexpected.
