Spring is right around the corner – the groundhog promised! Despite the fresh snow this President’s Day, Spring will come before we know it. When that warm and wonderful season finally arrives, our columnist Lauren is determined to have her wardrobe ready. After weeks of scoring all-weather accessories at her local Goodwill (this purse, these heels, this belt…), she’s found one Goodwill Gem that is 100% Spring. Take a look:
It’s textile transition time! For the weeks in between the worst of winter and real springtime weather, lighter versions of your favorite winter wear are the perfect pieces to help you through this difficult fashion season. The scarf pictured here, which I found at Goodwill’s amazing Chelsea location (really, this store is an accessory lover’s heaven), is just that kind of piece.
We’ve got a duo of sales fit for a king – or at least a president! Celebrate Presidents’ Day with Goodwill and enjoy 25% off storewide on Monday, February 21. Then join us again for our 50% off clearance sale on winter clothing and accessories from Tuesday, February 22, through Monday, February 28.
We cannot tell a lie – this is a whopper of a good week for Goodwill fans. Hope you enjoy and be sure to comment, share and tweet your finds! And remember, every purchase and donation you make helps us help others get back to work and reenter the economic mainstream. Feel good this Presidents’ Day, Goodwill shoppers – you are making a difference with every chic pair of pumps you discover and every no-longer-needed computer you donate.

The groundhog’s shadow has spoken – Spring’s on its way… and so is spring cleaning. With that in mind, Goodwill International has teamed up with Bethenny Frankel, Michael Moloney, Lorie Marrero, and Hanes to help make this whole thing a lot easier. Hanes even launched a “Clean” Facebook tab full of information on how to organize the chaos, complete with all the Goodwill donation info you’ll need. You can check out the page, read more about the upcoming photo sweepstakes, and pick up stellar tips at http://on.fb.me/gwhanes.
